FA Cup: Home Wins For Southampton and Accrington Stanley; Replay For AFC Wimbledon

Here are results from the opening round proper of England's FA Cup as played on Saturday featuring clubs followed on this blog:

At  Accrington:

Ray Putterill's double (8', 52') enabled Accrington Stanley to hold off visiting Oldham Athletic from League One 3-2.

At Southampton:

David Connolly (90') and Adam Lallana (90') each scored at the death as Southampton blanked visiting Shrewsbury Town (League Two) 2-0.

At Kingston upon Thames:

AFC Wimbledon were held to a 0-0 home stalemate by Ebbsfleet United (Conference South---sixth level of English soccer).  The two will have a replay on The Fleet's home pitch at Kent on a date to be determined.
