UCL Group F: Blues Win Group; Marseille Advance To Knockout Stage, Too

Action in Group F in UEFA Champions League group stage play continued on Tuesday.

At Moscow:

Mathieu Valbuena opens the scoring for Marseille

Mathieu Valbuena (17', shown here), Loic Remy (54'), and Brandao (68') each delivered a goal as Marseille locked up a berth in the knockout stage with a 3-0 road domination of Spartak Moscow.  The loss ended the Russian club's chances of advancing into the Round of 16 of the Champions League, but they still qualified for the Europa League's Round of 32.

At London:

Daniel Sturridge of Chelsea scores past Martin Dubravka of MSK Zilina

Daniel Sturridge (51', that's him beating Martin Dubravka here) and Florent Malouda (86') delivered the second-half goals as Chelsea overcame a 1-0 halftime deficit and defeated visiting MSK Zilina 2-1 to lock up Group F.
