In the lone Friday CAF Champions League contest, a 2-1 road win for Enyimba in Group A play clinched a berth in the semifinal round for the visiting Nigerian club. Valentine Nwabili scored in the 68th minute for the winners. The loss prevented the Sudanese club from clinching a berth in the final four of the tournament.
