At Kansas City, Kansas:


Teal Bunbury scored twice (9', 73') as Sporting Kansas City dominated the visiting Houston Dynamo 3-0.


At Seattle:


Alvaro Saborio scored the winning goal in the 56th minute as Real Salt Lake knocked off the home standing Seattle Sounders 2-1.


At Columbus, Ohio:


After five losses and seven draws in twelve previous tries, Toronto FC defeated the Columbus Crew for the first time ever, 4-2 on the road.  Nick Soolsma (21'), Ryan Johnson (41'), Julian De Guzman (82'), and Danny Koevermans (90') each tallied once for the visiting Reds.


At Foxborough, Massachusetts:


Shalrie Joseph (14') and Rajko Lekic (83') provided the scoring punch that carried the New England Revolution to a 2-0 home win over FC Dallas.


At Harrison, New Jersey:


Juan Agudelo's equalizer in the 69th minute enabled the New York Red Bulls to salvage a 1-1 home draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps.  Davide Chiumiento scored for the visiting Whitecaps at 22 minutes.


At Chester, Pennsylvania:


The Portland Timbers (whose unbeaten streak stretched to three games) and hosts Philadelphia Union (whose winless streak stretched to eight games) battled to a 0-0 stalemate.


At Carson, California:


Charlie Davies' hat trick (11', 14', 66') provided all the scoring as DC United throttled Chivas USA 3-0 on the road.


At Santa Clara, California:


Chris Wondolowski had a hand in both goals, scoring one in the 10th minute and assisting on Ramiro Corrales' 68th-minute tally as the San Jose Earthquakes ended their franchise-record 13-match winless streak with a 2-0 home shutout over the Chicago Fire.
