Stephen McLaughlin's equalizer in the 73rd minute enabled Derry City to gain a 1-1 road draw with St. Patrick's Athletic in Friday League of Ireland Premier Division action. Sean O'Connor scored at 30 minutes for the hosts. The draw ended the Candystripes hopes of winning the league title as well as a berth in the second qualifying round for next year's UEFA Champions League. They will, however, take part in qualifying for next season's Europa League.
