Three CONCACAF Champions League group-stage contests were played on Wednesday.
Group B:
At Torreon, Mexico:
Aaron Galindo (55') and Alonso Escoboza (66') provided the scoring as Santos Laguna won the Group B crown with a 2-0 home win over the Colorado Rapids. The Rapids can still advance to the quarterfinal round should Thursday's match between Isidro Metapan and Real Espana end in a draw.
Group C:
Juan Cacho scored the game's lone goal in the 44th minute as UNAM Pumas locked up top spot in Group C with a 1-0 home blanking of Tauro FC.

1. UNAM Pumas (GP: 6; GD: +6; PTS: 11)
2. Toronto FC (GP: 6; GD: 0; PTS: 10)
3. FC Dallas (GP: 6; GD: -5; PTS: 7)
4. Tauro FC (GP: 6; GD: -1; PTS: 5)
UNAM Pumas and Toronto FC advanced to the quarterfinal round.
Group D:
At Alajuela, Costa Rica:
Jorge Barbosa scored twice (13', 41') as Herediano defeated visiting Comunicaciones 4-1 in a battle of already-eliminated clubs.

1. Monterrey (GP: 6; GD: +7; PTS: 12)
2. Seattle Sounders FC (GP: 6; GD: +3; PTS: 10)
3. Comunicaciones (GP: 6; GD: -5; PTS: 7)

Monterrey and the Seattle Sounders advanced to the quarterfinal round.
