At Columbus, Ohio:
Ryan Finley (47') and Justin Meram (74') each scored a goal as the Columbus Crew, in a successful debut for interim coach Brian Bliss (who replaced the recently-fired Robert Warzycha), blanked the visiting Houston Dynamo 2-0.
At Seattle:
Lamar Neagle scored the only goal of the match in the 24th minute as the Seattle Sounders defeated visiting Chivas USA 1-0.
