At Kansas City, Kansas:
Claudio Bieler (PK-7'), Soony Saad (41'), and CJ Sapong (55') each tallied once as Sporting Kansas City dominated the visiting Columbus Crew 3-0.
At Seattle:
Lamar Neagle leveled the score in the 40th minute, then Gonzalo Segares delivered an own goal in the 89th as the Seattle Sounders came from behind to upend the visiting Chicago Fire 2-1.
At Carson, California:
Edson Buddle haunted his former teammates as he scored the only goal of the match in the 75th minute as the traveling Colorado Rapids knocked off the Los Angeles Galaxy 1-0.
At Portland:
Kalif Alhassan (45'+1), Rodney Wallace (83'), Will Johnson (87'), and Diego Valeri (90'+3) each produced a goal as the Portland Timbers broke open a tight game and demolished visiting Toronto FC 4-0.
