Three games were on the docket for Saturday in Major League Soccer.
At Minneapolis:
In a battle of clubs eliminated from playoff contention, Yannick Bolt (61') and Niki Jackson (90'+7) each scored once as the Colorado Rapids collected a rare road victory (their second of the season), 2-0 over Minnesota United.
At Washington:
Russell Canouse's goal in the 82nd minute carried DC United to a 1-0 home victory over FC Dallas, and into the sixth and final Eastern Conference playoff berth past idle Montreal with two games to play.
DC now are riding a seven-match unbeaten run while snapping the Hoops' six-game unbeaten streak.
At Foxborough, Massachusetts:
Cristian Penilla (51') and Diego Fagundez (55') each scored a second-half goal four minutes apart as the New England Revolution blanked visiting Orlando City 2-0.
Due to the DC United home win over Dallas, though, the Revolution were still eliminated from playoff contention.
