At Moscow:

Nikola Vlasic's goal in the second minute held up as CSKA Moscow knocked off visiting Real Madrid 1-0, this, despite goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev being ejected (shown here) via the red card.

At Rome:

Edin Dzeko produced a hat trick (3', 40', 90'+2) as AS Roma destroyed visiting FC Viktoria Plzen 5-0.
