MLS: Philly, LAFC, SKC Clinch Playoff Berths; Reds, Loons, Lions Eliminated; Saturday Wins For Philly, Five Stripes, Impact, LAFC, Timbers, Red Bulls, Caps, Hoops Win On Saturday

Nine games are on the Major League Soccer Saturday schedule with all kickoff times Pacific.

At Montreal:

Saphir Taider (PK-32'), Alejandro Silva (44'), and Ignacio Piatti (59') each scored once as the Montreal Impact dominated the visiting Columbus Crew 3-0 to maintain ownership of the last Eastern Conference playoff berth.

At Atlanta:

George Bello (16') and Julian Gressel (52') each produced a goal as Atlanta United maintained top spot in both the Eastern Conference and Supporters' Shield races after holding off the visiting New England Revolution 2-1.

At Toronto:

Kei Kamara scored the winning goal in the 78th minute as the Vancouver Whitecaps kept their playoff chances alive by knocking Toronto FC out of playoff contention by defeating the now formerly-defending MLS Cup titlists 3-1 on the road.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Fafa Picault scored twice (23', 44') as the Philadelphia Union locked up a playoff berth by demolishing Minnesota United 5-1, eliminating the visiting Loons from playoff contention.

At Frisco, Texas:

Santiago Mosquera (63') and Victor Ulloa (69') each delivered a second-half goal six minutes apart as FC Dallas stayed atop the Western Conference standings by defeating visiting Orlando City 2-0, eliminating the Lions from postseason contention.

The central Florida club, after four years, are still awaiting their MLS Cup Playoff debut

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Johnny Russell's equalizer in the 83rd minute lifted Sporting Kansas City into the MLS Cup Playoffs for a seventh straight season as they drew 1-1 with the visiting Los Angeles Galaxy.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic converted a penalty kick in the 25th minute for the lone Galaxy goal.

At Commerce City, Colorado:

Adama Diomande scored twice (42', 45') as the Los Angeles Football Club became the fifth first-year expansion club to reach the playoffs in their inaugural season after dominating the Colorado Rapids 3-0 on the road.

At Sandy, Utah:

Sebastian Blanco scored twice (70', 73') and assisted once (on Jeremy Ebobisse's tally in the 33rd minute) as the Portland Timbers dominated Real Salt Lake 4-1 on the road.

At San Jose, California:

Bradley Wright-Phillips scored the winning goal in the 32nd minute as the New York Red Bulls downed the San Jose Earthquakes 3-1 on the road.
