UEFA Champions League, Group A: Mattress Makers, Dortmund Advance To CL Knockout Stage; Club Brugge To Europa League Round of 32; Monaco Out Of European Play

Eight games were contested in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, including two in Group A.

At Madrid:
Koke (2') and Antoine Guiezmann (24') each scored once in the opening half as Atletico Madrid blanked visiting AS Monaco 2-0 to lock up a berth in the Champions League's knockout stage while eliminating the visitors, who have been struggling in domestic league play, from European competition.

At Dortmund, Germany:

Borussia Dortmund and visiting Club Brugge battled to a 0-0 stalemate with the hosts locking up a berth in the Champions League's knockout stage while the Belgian club will be playing in the Round of 32 in the Europa League.
