Copa Libertadores Second Qualifying Round

The second round of Copa Libertadores continued on Wednesday with four games.

At Las Condes, Chile:

Julian Fernandez produced the equalizer in the 64th minute that enabled Palestino to salvage a 1-1 series-opening home draw with Independiente Medellin.

German Cano scored in the 60th minute for the Colombian club.

At Cordoba, Argentina:

Juan Ramirez (58') and Tomas Pochettino (87') each scored once as Talleres de Cordoba blanked visiting Sao Paulo 2-0 in their series-opening match.

At Manta, Ecuador:

Bernardo Anor's equalizer in the 34th minute lifted Caracas FC to a series-opening 1-1 road draw with Delfin.

Carlos Garces scored for the Uruguayan club by converting his penalty kick in the 20th minute.

At Montevideo, Uruguay:

Xavier Arreaga scored the winning goal in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time as Barcelona SC of Ecuador knocked off Defensor Sporting 2-1 on the road in the opening match of their two-game series.
