The second round of AFC Champions League qualifying took place on Tuesday with eight games.
EAST REGION:
At Ipoh, Malaysia:
After each team scored once in regulation, which was followed by 30 minutes of scoreless overtime, Wander Luiz, Amirul Azhan Bin Aznan, Parthiban Janasekaran, Gilmar, Shahrul Saad, and Kenny each converted a spot kick as Perak TBG FC won the penalty-kick shootout, 6-5 over visiting Kitchee SC of Hong Kong.
At Pathum Thani, Thailand:
Nguyen Van Quyet converted a penalty kick in the 89th minute for the only goal of the match as Hanoi FC defeated Bangkok United 1-0 on the road.
At Chiang Rai, Thailand:
Suriya Singmui scored the game winner in the 38th minute as Chiangrai United defeated visiting Yangon United of Burma 3-1.
At Newcastle, Australia:
Nigel Boogaard (101') and Matthew Ridenton (120') each scored an overtime goal as Newcastle Jets defeated visiting Persija Jakarta of Indonesia 3-1.
WEST REGION:
At Tashkent, Uzbekistan:
Marat Bikmaev scored the winning goal in the 84th minute as Pakhtakor defeated visiting Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya of Iraq 2-1.
At Olmaliq, Uzbekistan:
AGMK defeated visiting Istiklol from Tajikistan 4-2 as Jasurbek Khakimov scored the game winner in the 78th minute.
At Qods, Iran:
Arash Rezavand scored twice (8', 81') as Saipa demolished India's Minerva Punjab 4-0.
At Isfahan, Iran:
Ighodaro Christian Osaguona scored the only goal of the match in the 110th minute as Zob Ahan defeated visiting Al-Kuwait 1-0 in overtime.
Here are the matchups for the third and final qualifying round, with the winners of the eight one-game series advancing to the group stage. All eight games are set to be contested next Tuesday.
