Abdulaziz Hatem scored the winning goal in the 27th minute on Friday as Qatar knocked off Japan 3-1 in the AFC Asian Cup Final.
For the Maroons, it was their first continental championship. They will compete in the 2021 FIFA Confederations Cup, in an Asian country to be determined.
