World Cup Finals Berths For Super Eagles, Indomitable Lions; Egypt Forces Playoff With Algeria

At Nairobi, Kenya:

Obafemi Martins doubled (62', 83') and Ayegbeni Yakubu added another goal (65') as Nigeria defeated Kenya 3-2 on the road. That win, coupled with Tunisia's 1-0 defeat at Mozambique, locked up a 2010 FIFA World Cup finals berth (their fourth) for the Super Eagles.

At Fes, Morocco:

Pierre Webo (19') and Samuel Eto'o (56') provided the scoring that carried Cameroon to a 2-0 road win over Tunisia that locked up the Indomitable Lions' sixth appearance (most of any African country) in the FIFA World Cup finals.

At Cairo, Egypt:

Thanks to goals courtesy of Amr Zaki (2') and Emad Moteab (90'+5), Egypt defeated visiting Algeria 2-0 to force a one-game playoff, to be played on Wednesday at Omdurman, Sudan, for the World Cup berth from Group C.
