Two games were contested in Major League Soccer on Sunday.

At Seattle:

Obafemi Martins (6') and Brad Evans (PK-42') delivered the scoring as the Seattle Sounders held off the visiting Portland Timbers 2-1 in a Cascadia Cup clash.

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Bradley Wright-Phillips scored twice (42', 64') as the New York Red Bulls manhandled visiting DC United 3-0 to reclaim the Atlantic Cup.
