CONCACAF Champions League: Arabe Unido Knock Off Striped Gang, Win Group D; Saprissa Double Up Timbers

Two games took place in the group stage of the CONCACAF Champions League on Wednesday.

GROUP B:

At Tibas, Costa Rica:

Marvin Angulo converted two penalty kicks (45', 74') as Deportivo Saprissa doubled up the visiting Portland Timbers 4-2.

Group B Standings::

1.   Deportivo Saprissa (GP: 3; GD: +8; PTS: 7)
2.   Portland Timbers (GP: 3; GD: -1; PTS: 3)
3. z-CD Dragon (GP: 3; GD: -7; PTS: 1)

GROUP D:

At Panama City, Panama:

Joseph Cox (43') and Jose Gonzalez (47') each scored once as Arabe Unido knocked off visiting Monterrey 2-1 and clinched the Group D title and a berth in the quarterfinal round.

1. y-CD Arabe Unido (GP: 3; GD: +5; PTS: 9)
2. z-Monterrey (GP: 3; GD: +1; PTS: 3)
3. z-Don Bosco FC (GP: 2; GD: -6; PTS: 0)
