Copa Libertadores

Action from the group stage of the Copa Libertadores is set to continue on Thursday with four games.

GROUP TWO:

At La Paz, Bolivia:

Matias Alonso scored twice (PG-19', 37') as The Strongest demolished visiting Sporting Cristal 5-1.

At Sao Paulo, Brazil:

Lucas Verissimo scored the winning goal in the 78th minute as Santos defeated visiting Independiente Santa Fe 3-2.

At Mendoza, Argentina:

Juan Fernando Garro's equalizer in the 39th minute enabled Godoy Cruz to gain a 1-1 home draw with Club Libertad and lock up a berth in the tournament's Round of 16.  Danilo Santacruz scored for the Paraguayan club in the 23rd minute.
