Successful penalty kicks from Timmy Simons (14') and Jefferson Farfan (35') helped pace table-topping PSV Eindhoven to a 3-1 triumph over visiting SC Heerenveen. Arouna Kona (23') also scored for PSV.

At Kerkrade:

Kemy Agustien scored the game winner (55') as Roda JC Kerkrade doubled up struggling Willem II Tilburg 2-1 at home.

At Waalwijk:

Orlando Engelaar's game winner (85') lifted Twente Enschade to a 2-1 road win over basement-dwelling RKC Waalwijk.

At Almelo:

NEC Nijmegen and hosts SC Heracles Almelo battled to a 0-0 deadlock.
