At Wigan:
Goals from Matt Derbyshire and Benni McCarthy powered Blackburn to a 3-0 home victory over Wigan, who suffered their fifth straight league defeat.
At Middlesbrough:
Aiyegbeni Yakubu tallied twice (69', PK-76') to power Middlesbrough to a 3-1 home triumph over Sheffield United.
