Here's a rundown of the weekend Scottish Premier League action, beginning with the five Saturday contests:
At Dundee:
Home club--and bottom club---Dunfermline's winless streak in SPL play stretched to 11 games after their 0-0 home draw with Dundee United.
At St. Mirren:
19-year old Andrew Considine's doubled (8', 36') lifted Aberdeen to a 2-0 road win over St. Mirren. The Buddies now lead Dunfermline by eight points in their battle to avoid relegation.
At Falkirk:
Goals from Colin Nish (22') and Steven Naismith (28') were more than enough for Kilmarnock as the vistiors blanked Falkirk 2-0.
At Edinburgh:
Thanks to goals from Scott Brown (66') and Abdessalam Benjelloun (90'), Hibernian defeated visiting Motherwell 2-0.
At Glasgow:
Visiting Hearts and Rangers had to settle for a 0-0 deadlock.
As for the one Sunday match:
Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink's game winner at 90 minutes pushed visiting Celtic to a 19-point bulge over second-place Rangers in the SPL standings as they defeated Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2-1.
