An unbelievable ending to Group B play in the FIFA Confederations Cup on Sunday in South Africa.
At Pretoria:
Goals by Luis Fabiano (36', 42') and an own goal from Andrea Dossena (44', pictured here/Getty Images photo) lifted Brazil to a convincing 3-0 pasting of Italy. The Brazilians finished atop Group B while the Italians were eliminated.
At Rustenburg:
Goals from Charles Davies (21'), Michael Bradley (63') and Clint Dempsey (71', pictured here/Associated Press photo) lifted the United States to a 3-0 whitewashing of Egypt. This win, coupled with Italy's 3-0 loss to Brazil lifted Team USA into the semifinal round, thanks to a higher number of total goals scored (4-3) than the Italians.
