David Villa Goal Puts Spain In Semifinals; Hosts Eliminate Kiwis

Group A action in the FIFA Confederations Cup continued on Wednesday in South Africa.

At Bloemfontein:

David Villa's goal at 55 minutes (photographed here) proved to be all
the scoring as Spain locked up a berth in the semifinal round with a 1-0 win over Iraq.

At Rustenburg:

Bernard Parker scored both goals (20', 51') as South Africa eliminated New Zealand from the tournament, blanking the All Whites 2-0. Photographed here is Teko Modise splitting through the Kiwis' defense.
