At La Plata, Argentina:
Leandro Benitez scored the only goal of the match at 13 minutes as Estudiantes defeated visiting Defensor Sporting 1-0 in game two of their two-match set to win the series with a maximum six points after winning both contests.
At Sao Paulo, Brazil:
Henrique (66') and Kleber (PK-81') provided the scoring that lifted Cruzeiro to a 2-0 road win over Sao Paulo in game two of their series and won their two-set series by obtaining the maximum six points after winning both ends of this all-Brazilian series.
There will be one Brazilian club in the final as Gremio and Cruzeiro will face off in one two-match semifinal set, while Estudiantes will battle Club Nacional of Uruguay in the other semifinal series.
