Revs and Santos Laguna Advance To SuperLiga Semis

Group stage play concluded in the North American SuperLiga on Sunday as two games in Group B were played.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Abdoulie Mansally scored the game's only goal (32') as the New England Revolution clinched a semifinal berth by defeating visiting Atlas 1-0, eliminating the Guadalajara, Mexico-based club from the competition.

At Kansas City, Kansas:

Goals from Augustin Enrique Herrera (61'), Vicente Vuoso (74'), and Juan Pablo Rodriguez (90'+) paced Santos Laguna to a 3-1 road win over the Kansas City Wizards to lock up a berth in the semifinal round.

FINAL GROUP B STANDINGS:

2. Santos Laguna (GP: 3; GD: 0; PTS: 4)
3. Atlas (GP: 3; GD: -1; PTS: 2)

New England and Santo Laguna advanced to the semifinal round.

On July 15, Tigres will take on Santos Laguna in one semifinal and the Chicago Fire will battle the New England Revolution in the other.

The two semifinal winners will play in the final on August 5.
