Goals from Guillermo Franco (1') and Oscar Rojas (48') enabled Mexico to defeat visiting Trinidad and Tobago 2-1.

At San Pedro Sula, Honduras:

Carlos Pavon scored the only goal of the match at 14 minutes as Honduras jumped up to third place in the CONCACAF final qualifying group with a 1-0 home win over El Salvador.
