Chad Marshall scored the only goal of the match at 45 minutes as the Columbus Crew downed the visiting New York Red Bulls 1-0.
At Sandy, Utah:
Real Salt Lake, with goals from Yura Movsisyan (21'), Kyle Beckerman (44'), and Clint Mathis (78'), rolled over visiting Toronto FC 3-0.
