2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying (CONCACAF): 1-1 Draw Eliminates Both Grenada and SVG As Guatemala Wins Group E

At St. George's, Grenada:


Clive Murray's stoppage-time equalizer (90'+2) carried Grenada to a 1-1 Saturday home draw with St. Vincent and the Grenadines, with Myron Samuel scoring for the visitors in the 62nd minute.  The draw eliminated both teams as Guatemala won Group E and advanced to the third qualifying round from the CONCACAF region for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.


GROUP E STANDINGS:


1. x-Guatemala (GP: 4; GD: +10; PTS: 12)
2. Grenada (GP: 4; GD: -1; PTS: 4)
3. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (GP: 4; GD: -6; PTS: 4)
4. Belize (GP: 4; GD: -3; PTS: 3)


x-Won Group E and advanced to the third qualifying round


The Guatemalans will enter the third qualifying round, joining the United States and Jamaica in Group A along with the winners of Group F from the second qualifying round (Antigua and Barbuda or Haiti).
