CONCACAF Champions League: Thursday Wins For Municipal, Galaxy

Two more games in CONCACAF Champions League group-stage action took place on Thursday.

Group Five:

At Carson, California:

Juninho scored twice late in the second half (82', 90'+3) as the Los Angeles Galaxy, despite finishing the contest with ten men (Robbie Keane, who scored in the 22nd minute, was tossed out via the red card in the 70th), defeated visiting AD Isidro Metapan 5-2.  David Beckham also scored (45'+1) for the Galaxy.

GROUP FIVE STANDINGS:

1. Los Angeles Galaxy (GP: 1; GD; +3; PTS: 3)
2. Isidro Metapan (GP: 2; GD: -1; PTS: 3)
3. Puerto Rico Islanders (GP: 1; GD: -2; PTS: 0)

Group Seven:

At Panama City, Panama:

Jorge Arias scored the winning goal in the 87th minute as CSD Municipal knocked off Chorrillo FC 2-1 on the road.
