MLS: Impact, Crew, Timbers, Sounders, Quakes Win; Dynamo and TFC Draw

Six games were contested in Major League Soccer on Saturday.

At Montreal:

Patrice Bernier scored twice in the second half (PK-50', 90'+2) as the Montreal Impact dominated visiting DC United 3-0 for their fifth straight victory.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Federico Higuain (26', 42') and Jairo Arrieta (31', 86') each scored twice as the Columbus Crew, who at one time trailed 2-0, overcame the visiting New England Revolution 4-3.

At Houston:

Terry Dunfield's equalizer in the 85th minute carried Toronto FC to a 1-1 road draw with the Houston Dynamo.  Will Bruin scored in the 21st minute for the Dynamo.

At Carson, California:

A hat trick for Fredy Montero (27', 33', 67') carried the Seattle Sounders to a 6-2 road domination of Chivas USA.

At Portland, Oregon:

Franck Songo'o scored the winning goal in the 55th minute when his free kick dribbled past goalkeeper Joe Cannon as the Portland Timbers snapped their eight-match winless streak with a 2-1 Cascadia Cup home victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps.  It was the Timbers' first win under interim head coach Gavin Wilkinson.

At Santa Clara, California:

Simon Dawkins (10', 68') and Alan Gordon (42', 74') each scored twice, once in each half, as the San Jose Earthquakes ran roughshod over the visiting Colorado Rapids 4-1.
