AFC Champions League

Seven games were contested in AFC Champions League group-stage action on Tuesday.

West Region:

GROUP C:

At Sharjah, United Arab Emirates:

Mohammed Khalfan (25') and Ryan Mendes (45'+1) each scored once as Sharjah came back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 home deadlock with Persepolis.

Ali Alipour scored twice (9', 27') for the Iranian club.

At Buraidah, Saudi Arabia:

Mohammad Al-Sahlawi (34') and Abdulmajeed Al-Swat (55') each scored once for Al-Taawoun as the hosts blanked Al-Duhail 2-0.

Group C:

1. Al-Taawoun (GP: 2; GD: +3; PTS: 6)
2. Al-Duhail (GP: 2; GD: 0; PTS: 3)
3. Persepolis (GP: 2; GD: -2; PTS: 1)
4. Sharjah (GP: 2; GD; -1; PTS: 1)

NOTE:  Persepolis scored two road goals in their 2-2 deadlock with Sharjah on Tuesday.



GROUP D:

At Al Ain, United Arab Emirates:

Abdo Hamdallah scored the winning goal in the 80th minute as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Ain 2-1 on the road.

At Doha, Qatar:

Hassan Al-Haydos scored twice (72', 78') as Al-Sadd dominated visiting Sepahan 3-0.

Group D Standings:

1. Al-Sadd (GP: 2; GD: +3; PTS: 4)
2. Al-Nassr (GP: 2; GD: +1; PTS: 4)
3. Sepahan (GP: 2; GD: +1; PTS: 3)

East Region:

At Seoul, South Korea:

Park Chu-young's goal in the eighth minute carried FC Seoul to a 1-0 home victory over the Melbourne Victory.

At Chiang Rai, Thailand:

Wang Ziming scored the game's lone goal at 23 minutes as Beijing FC defeated Chiangrai United 1-0 on the road.

2. Beijing FC (GP: 1; GD: +1; PTS: 3)
3. Melbourne Victory (GP: 2; GD: 0; PTS: 3)

NOTE:  FC Seoul hold the disciplinary points advantage vis a viv Beijing FC (0, compared to the Chinese club's -2)



GROUP F:

At Tokyo:

Leandro provided all the scoring with his tally in the 82nd minute as FC Tokyo defeated the visiting Perth Glory.
