Despite dropping a 2-0 game-two road decision to Deportivo Tachira, Colombia's Independiente Medellin still won their series with the Venezuelan club 4-2 on aggregate.
At Ibague, Colombia:
Jaminton Campaz scored the game's lone goal in the 42nd minute as Deportes Tolima registered a second 1-0 victory over Macara, this time at home, to dispatch the Ecuadorian club 2-0 on aggregate.
At Porto Alegre, Brazil:
Gabriel Boschilia (43') and Marcos Guilherme (76') delivered the goals as Internacional knocked out Universidad de Chile 2-0 on aggregate after their 2-0 game-two home win.
