CAF Champions League

Group-stage play in the CAF Champions League concluded on Saturday with eight games.

GROUP A:

At Luanda, Angola:

In their tournament finale, CD Primeiro de Agosto battled visiting Zamalek to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo:

Jackson Muleka scored twice (PK-32', 79') as TP Mazembe downed visiting ZESCO United 3-1.

Final Group A Standings:

1. TP Mazembe (GP: 6; GD: +7; PTS: 14)
2. Zamalek (GP: 6; GD: +1; PTS: 9)
3. CD Primeiro de Agosto (GP: 6; GD: -3; PTS: 4)
4. ZESCO United (GP: 6; GD: -5; PTS: 3)

TP Mazembe and Zamalek advanced to the quarterfinal round.



GROUP B:

At Rades, Tunisia:

Karim Aribi (48') and Malek Baayou (72') each scored once as Etoile du Sahel blanked visiting FC Platinum 2-0 to lock up top spot in Group B.

At Omdurman, Sudan:

Abdelrazig Omer's stoppage-time equalizing goal (90'+6) carried Al-Hilal Omdurman to a 1-1 home draw with Al-Ahly.

Mohamed Magdi Kafsha scored for the Egyptian club in the 48th minute.

The draw sent Al-Ahly into the quarterfinal while knocking out the Sudanese club in the process.

GROUP C:

At Algiers, Algeria:

Picas (80') and Antonio Rosa Ribeiro (81') each scored a goal a minute apart in the final minutes to lift Petro de Luanda from a two-goal deficit to being enable to gain a 2-2 road draw with USM Alger in the tournament finale for both clubs.

Aymen Mahious (33') and Qualid Ardji (70') each scored once for the Algerian club.

At Pretoria, South Africa:

Ricardo dos Nacimento's penalty kick (45'+1) produced the goal that lifted Mamelodi Sundowns to a 1-0 home victory over Wydad Casablanca as both clubs had already locked up berths in the quarterfinals.

2. Wydad Casablanca (GP: 6; GD: +4; PTS: 9)
3. Petro de Luanda (GP: 6; GD: -6; PTS: 4)

GROUP D:

At Casablanca, Morocco:

Badr Banoun scored the only goal of the match in the third minute as Raja Casablanca defeated visiting AS Vita Club 1-0.

At Tizi Ousou, Algeria:

Rezki Hamroune's goal in the 56th minute carried JS Kabylie to a 1-0 home victory over Esperance de Tunis.
