At Asuncion, Paraguay:
Fidel Martinez scored twice (66', 82') as Barcelona SC demolished Cerro Porteno 4-0 on the road in game two and ousted the Paraguayan club 5-0 on aggregate to advance to the group stage.
At Porto Alegre, Brazil:
Jose Guerrero scored the game's lone goal (45'+4) as Internacional defeated visiting Deportes Tolima 1-0 in game two and won their series with the Colombian club by that same score on aggregate.
