 Two contests in Group B of the UEFA Champions League were played on Wednesday.

At Madrid:

Manor Solomon scored the winning goal in the 42nd minute as Shaktar Donetsk raced out to a 3-0 lead before hanging on to knock off Real Madrid 3-2 on the road.

At Milan, Italy:

Romelu Lukaku scored twice (49', 90') as Inter Milan gained a 2-2 home draw with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Rami Bensebaini (PK-63') and Jonas Hofman (84') each scored once for the German club.
