At Liverpool, England:

Diogo Jota (55') and Mohamed Salah (PK-90'+3) each scored once as Liverpool blanked visiting FC Midtjylland 2-0.

At Bergamo, Italy:

Duvan Zapata scored twice (54', 60') as Atalanta came back from two goals down to gain a 2-2 home draw with Ajax Amsterdam.

Dusan Tadic (PK-30') and Lassima Traore (38') each delivered a goal from the Dutch club.
