Round-of-16 play in the AFC Champions League resumed with two West Region games on Monday.
At Tehran, Iran:
Persepolis, thanks to goals from Ahmad Nourollahi (63') and Jalal Hosseini (89'), held off visiting Al-Jazira 2-1 in game two and, with the aggregate score at 4-4, advanced to the quarterfinal round on away goals.
At Jeddah, Saudi Arabia:
Baghdad Bounedjah scored twice (2', 71') as Al-Sadd gained a 2-2 game-two road draw with Al-Ahly and won their series with the Saudi club 4-3 on aggregate.
