Kim In-sung scored the only goal of the match in the 67th minute as Ulsan Hyundai defeated visiting Suwon Samsung Bluewings 1-0 in the opening contest of an all-South Korean series.
At Kashima, Japan:
Daigo Nishi scored the winning goal in the 49th minute as Kashima Antlers took their series opener at home, 3-1 over Shanghai SIPG.
