Edgar Bruno da Silva scored twice (6', 69') while Diogo added one of his own (60') as Buriram United defeated visiting Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors 3-2 in game one.
WEST REGION:
At Isfahan, Iran:
Giorgi Gvelesiani's successfully-executed penalty kick in the third minute of second-half stoppage time carried Zob Ahan to a series-opening 1-0 home win over fellow Iranian club Esteghlal.
At Al Ain, United Arab Emirates:
Ismaeel Mohammad scored the winning goal in the 48th minute as Al-Duhail knocked off Al-Ain 4-2 on the road in their series-opening contest.
