Copa Libertadores

Five games are on tap for Copa Libertadores group-stage play; all kickoff times are Pacific.

GROUP B:

At Manta, Ecuador:

Esteban Paredes delivered the winning goal with his successful penalty kick in the 44th minute as Colo-Colo defeated Delfin 2-1 on the road.

Group B Standings:

GROUP C:

At Tucuman, Argentina:

Leandro Diaz scored the only goal of the match in the 58th minute as Atletico Tucuman defeated visiting Penarol 1-0.



GROUP E:

At Rio de Janeiro:

Sassa scored twice (32', 54') as Cruzeiro demolished Vasco da Gama 4-0 on the road, knocking the hosts out of the tournament (though they could still qualify for the second stage of the Copa Sudamericana).


GROUP G:

At Sao Paulo, Brazil:

Angel Romero's own goal proved costly as Independiente knocked off Corinthians 2-1 on the road.

At Barranquilla, Colombia:

Luis Ruiz scored twice, once for his team in the 32nd minute, and once on an own goal in the 50th, the latter lifting Boca Juniors to a 1-1 road draw with Atletico Junior.
