The Reds will take on two-time defending champions Real Madrid in the May 26 opener, to be contested in Kiev, Ukraine.  The winner of that game will play in the semifinal round of December's FIFA Club World Cup, to be staged in the United Arab Emirates.

The Blancos, who have won an all-time-leading 12 European club championships, will take on Liverpool, who are five-time champs (their last title came in 2005).

In their lone previous European Champions Cup/Champions League title-game meeting, the Reds defeated Los Blancos 1-0 in Paris in 1981, with Alan Kennedy scoring the game's only goal in the 82nd minute.
