Busy Saturday In Ligue 1

Eight games dotted the Saturday French Ligue 1 schedule:

At Lens:
Yohan Demont's 62nd-minute goal was all the scoring in Lens' 1-0 home win over AJ Auxerre.

At Nantes:
In a battle of the bottom two teams in the Ligue 1 standings, Julio Rossi's goal in the 27th minute provided Nantes with the only tally in their 1-0 home win over AS Monaco.

At Bordeaux:
With goals from Wendel (45'), Johan Micoud (46'), and Jean-Claude Darcheville (PK-53'), Bordeaux came back from a one-goal deficit to defeat visiting Sedan 3-1.

At Paris:
Amara Diane provided the only goal (44') in Paris Saint Germain's 1-0 home win over Rennes.

At LeMans:
Visiting Lille and LeMans battled to a 1-1 deadlock.

At Toulouse:
Despite scoring first, thanks to Laurent Battles' 21st-minute goal, Toulouse still went on to lose, at home, 2-1, to Sochaux, as Les Lionceoux got goals from Alvaro Santos (PK-32') and Karim Ziani (88'), whose game winner gave the guests all three points.

At Lorient:
Rafik Saifi provided all the goals, one (43'), in Lorient's 1-0 home win over Valenciennes.

At Troyes:
Host club Troyes, on goals from Gael Danic (56'), Gharib Amzine (75') and David Gigliotti (86'), came from behind to defeat St. Etienne 3-1.
