Five Wednesday Games In The Netherlands

A quintet of games Wednesday in the Dutch Eredivisie:

At Groningen:
Erik Nevland scored both goals (23', 67') in FC Groningen's 2-0 home win over Excelsior.

At Amsterdam:
First-half goals from Grabi (30') and Wesley Sneijder (32') lifted Ajax to a 2-0 home win over still-winless ADO Den Haag.

At Nijmegen:
NEC Nijmegen and visiting Roda JC Kerkrade battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Eindhoven:
Jefferson Farfan knocked in a hat trick (PK-20', 28', 81') while Arouna Kone scored twice (4', 40') as PSV Eindhoven delivered a frontier-style 7-0 fistbeating to hapless visiting Sparta Rotterdam.

At Almelo:
Robert Schilder scored his first Eredivisie goal (22') to lift SC Heracle Almelo to a 1-1 home draw with RKC Waalwijk. Ruud Berger scored (9') for RKC, still looking for their first road win of the season.
