Five Games On Eredivisie Sunday Slate

Five games were played Sunday in the Netherlands' top soccer league:

At Alkmaar:
David Mendes Da Silva scored twice (53', 73') to help lead AZ Alkmaar to a 5-1 home beatdown of FC Ultrecht.

At Enschede:
Otman Bakkal scored a double (12', 16') as Twente Enschede, in front of the home fans, pounded NEC Nijmegen 4-0.

At Kerkrade:
Visiting Feyenoord Rotterdam came from behind to defeat Roda JC Kerkrade 2-1. Angelos Charisteas scored the equalizer in the 39th, while Stein Huysegems knocked in the game-winner in the 66th minute.

At Breda:
Homestanding NAC Breda and FC Groningen battled to a 0-0 stalemate.

At Rotterdam:
With Ivan Cvetkov's 70-minute score, Sparta Rotterdam went into the win column for the first time this season, 1-0 at home, at the expense of Willem II Tilburg.
