Javi Martinez delivered the equalizer in the 120th minute as Bayern Munich forced a 2-2 draw with Chelsea in Friday's UEFA Super Cup contest(the contest was deadlocked at 1-1 after regulation), then won the penalty-kick shootout 5-4 as David Alaba, Toni Kroos, Philipp Lamm, Franck Ribery (who scored in the 47th minute of regulation), and Xherdan Shaqiri all converted their spot kicks. The Blues' Romelu Lukaku failed on his spot kick, which would have sent the shootout to a sixth round.
