UEFA Champions League: Bhoys, Legia, PSV, Dinamo Zagreb, Viktoria Plzen, Austria Vienna, Zenit, Metalist Advance To Playoff Round

The third round of UEFA Champions League qualifying concluded on Wednesday with eight games.

At Hafnarjordur, Iceland:

A 0-0 deadlock on the road in game two against FH Hafnarfjordur was good enough for Austria Vienna as the Violets (who finished the match with ten men)won their two-game series 1-0 on aggregate.


At Saint Petersburg, Russia:

Roman Shirokov scored twice (26', 90'+1) as Zenit Saint Petersburg demolished visiting FC Nordsjaelland 5-0 at home in game two and finished off the visiting Danish club 6-0 on aggregate.

At Tiraspol, Moldova:

Junior Fernandes (10'), El Arbi Hillel Soudani (27'), and Duje Cop (61') each provided a goal as Dinamo Zagreb dominated FC Sheriff 3-0 on the road in game two and won their two-match series 4-0 on aggregate.

At Kharkiv, Ukraine:

Sebastian Blanco scored a goal in the 72nd minute as FC Metalist Kharkiv gained a 1-1 game-two home draw with PAOK FC, good enough for the hosts to win their two-match series 3-1 on aggregate.

At Boras, Sweden:

Thanks to a 0-0 game-two road stalemate, Celtic won their series with Elfsborg 1-0 on aggregate.

At Plzen, Czech Republic:

Pavel Horvath delivered a hat trick (PK-20', 44', 62') as FC Viktoria Plzen dominated visiting JK Nomme Kalju 6-2 in game two and completed their two-match demolition of their Estonian guests 10-2 on aggregate.

At Warsaw, Poland:

Thanks to a 0-0 stalemate on the road in game two, with the two-match aggregate at 1-1, Legia Warsaw eliminated hosts Molde FK on away goals.

At Brussels, Belgium:

Tim Matavz (PK-56'), Zakaria Bakkali (74'), and Bruno Godeau (OG-90') each scored once as PSV Eindhoven dominated ten-man SV Zulte-Waregem 3-0 on the road in game two and won their series 4-0 on aggregate.
