Two games were played on Wednesday in the semifinal round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament.
At Bridgeview, Illinois:
Dwayne De Rosario (44') and Nick DeLeon (48') each scored a goal as DC United blanked the Chicago Fire 2-0 on the road.
At Sandy, Utah:
Alvaro Saborio (7') and Joao Plata (78') provided the scoring as Real Salt Lake held off the visiting Portland Timbers 2-1.
RSL will host DC United in the October 1 final with the winner qualifying for the group stage of the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League (as well as $250,000).
