UEFA Champions League: Gunners, Royal Blues, Austria Vienna, Steaua, Basel Advance To Group Stage

Five games were played on Tuesday as the UEFA Champions League's playoff round resumed.

At London:

Aaron Ramsey scored both goals (25', 72') in Arsenal's 2-0 game-two home win over Fenerbahce as the Gunners advanced to the Champions League's group stage for the sixteenth straight season following their 5-0 aggregate win over the Yellow Canaries.

At Vienna Austria:

Roman Kienast scored the series-winning goal in the 82nd minute as Austria Vienna, after blowing a three-goal aggregate lead, advanced to the group stage for the first time in club history by taking their two-game series with Dinamo Zagreb 4-3 (despite dropping game two 3-2 at home).

At Warsaw, Poland:

Nicolae Stanciu (7') and Federico Piovaccari (9') scored early as Steaua Bucharest gained a 2-2 game-two road draw with Legia Warsaw, and with the aggregate score at 2-2, advanced on away goals.

At Thessaloniki, Greece:

Adam Szalai scored twice (43', 90') as FC Schalke defeated PAOK FC 3-2 on the road in game two and took out the Greek club 4-3 on aggregate.

At Basel, Switzerland:

Fabian Frei (11') and Philipp Degen (79') each delivered a goal as FC Basel defeated visiting Ludogorets Razgrad 2-0 in game two and won their two-match series with the Bulgarian club 6-2 on aggregate.

The five clubs that were eliminated on Tuesday will play in the group stage of the Europa League.
