MLS: Wednesday Wins For Philly, Revs, Sounders

Three games were played in Major League Soccer on Wednesday.

At Chester, Pennsylvania:

Conor Casey scored the only goal of the match in the 55th minute as Philadelphia Union spoiled Greg Vanney's debut as Toronto FC's head coach with a 1-0 road win over the slumping ten-man Reds.

At Foxborough, Massachusetts:

Lee Nguyen scored twice (47', 90'+4) as the New England Revolution dominated visiting Sporting Kansas City 4-1.

At Carson, California:

Obafemi Martins (11', 17') and Andy Rose (38', 44') each scored twice in the first half as the Seattle Sounders coasted to a 4-2 road win over Chivas USA and tightened their hold on first place in both the Western Conference standings and the race for the Supporters' Shield.
